Dear brothers and sisters , dear children and youth,

After a lot of thought, discussion and prayers I have, together with the Apostles, decided on the Motto for the Year 2007:

"Spirited and Joyful Communities"

How pleasant it is in normal life to have a home, a place of rest and peace, to where one can retreat from daily "Stresses and Strains " and share companionship and thoughts with the people one loves.

However God's children know another home, the congregation. It is a place where one can, for a while, free oneself from worries, burdens and problems.Here one can review everyday life which in turn reflects on the vitality and joy in the community.

The aim of the "Motto 2007" is that joy increases, a unity is formed and the congregation comes alive.  We intend  to reassure one another!

An "Idea Catalogue" was developed for this purpose, to give impulse and support in preparing and implementing the Years Motto as well as offering a multitude of possibilities for beneficial acts.

Dear brothers and sisters, no matter whether the youth organise a kid's day, the seniors invite the youth to a brunch or open discussions on current topics take place, each individual is called upon to contribute to a spirited and joyful congregation.

I would like to make clear what an invaluable treasure a fulfilled congregation holds in itself. It is:

• a sanctuary, where one can cast off ones worries
• a home, where God's spirit can be experienced and the essence of Jesus can  be felt.
• a family ,where everybody is welcome
• a place, where one feels good and nobody is excluded
• prepared to do community work

We want to strive with all our might, so that all congregations of our time are filled with joy, love and prayer.
